Sea World San Antonio

 Hello to you all..today we are going to Sea World San Antonio!! I know, I know..now it is way closer to Christmas than what the weather on the pics should allow but think of it as a break from the winter!! What does Sea World not offer?? We have shows, fun rides, food stands, waterparks, and animal related displays. This particular Sea World opened in 1988. For some of you this is before you were born, for some we had a few years on us, and some might even say that they never thought a place like this could exist. The very first Sea World was opened in 1964 in San Diego, California by 4 UCLA students. There are now 3 Sea Worlds in the US..SD, SA, and Orlando. 

 Since starting it's Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Program the various Sea World parks have taken part in making over 23,000 animal's lives a better place to be. The SA park has a wonderful show featuring domesticated animals such as dogs, cats, rats, mini pigs, parrots, and a few more that the park and trainers adopted from local animal shelters in and around SA. For all that think Sea World is a horrible place due to recent films not to be named.. you may want to do a little more reading on your own!! ...okay..now for some more about what Sea World does to raise awareness...look down a few pictures..you will see a funny looking starfish, penguin, jellyfish, and shark..EVERY SINGLE bit of these figures was made out of trash taken out of our oceans, every bit..for me after I got over the ceativity I was shocked..then disgusted..how can we have so much trash in such a precious resource?? Makes you stop a minute and think .. about what each of us can do to cut down on our trash productionin our own homes..I hope it does anyway!! At any rate..the day spent here was amazing, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the shows fun to watch..the rides super fun to ride and we increased our awareness and respect for our world, our oceans, and the beautiful creatures that inhabit them..what more could we have asked for??
