Toon Lagoon and a little more!!

 Hi there..still in Universal but oh what fun to have arrived at Toon Lagoon!! Talk about some memories and just flat out fun with taking it all in!! Enjoy the pictures and feel free to share with others who will remember when!! :D

Universal Studios Adventure Island..continued!!

 Hi guys..it has been a minute..sorry about the break in tour of Universal..to make it up to all of you will post 2 or 3 adventures today!! Plus, as the Weinhnachtszeit ..the Christmas Markets esp..kicks off here in Germany I want to be able to share it all with you but first we have to finish our tour of a few of the states..!! This post finds us still in Universal Orlando..Adventure Island to be exact..An entire section was devoted to Harry Potter..a splash of winter gry with snowcapped buildings in the middle of a very colorful amusement park..was definantly something to see!!
 I must share with all of you that I made the mistake of wearing my Mickey Mouse Tshirt..see pic to the left to Universal..apparently that is a should not do..as I heard from a few of the people that worked there!! Politely of course..:D.. At anyrate..the shirt was comfy and Mickey wanted to see something new also!! I must say that we were able to cover both Universal parks in 1 day but did not ride hardly any of the rides as my hubby is not such a big fan of .rides..I did...however get a couple of them in ..alone of course!! Note to self..take this trip again once we have grandkids so I can go crazy with them on rides!! No pressure to my kiddos of course!! Okay..next post will see us in Toon Lagoon..get ready for color color and more color..and a few pics that will take some of us with a little age on us back in time!!

Universal Adventure Island..Orlando

 Hi there!! Today we at Universal Orlando..Adventure Island..however..I took soooooo many pictures that this tour will have to be over 2 posts!! Good for all of you..a pictoral break from your regular day!! Universal was a ton of fun..not so many people..once more..we were there in October..:D Of course you see that we found a Starbucks..cannot let one pass us by!! Dr. Suess was a huge attraction here..the area for the kids was awesome..notice that I took several pics here..it felt like we were in a storybook..!! Of course I passed several super cute tshirts..kicking myself now..ah well..once we have grandkids I can justify going back!! Wink wink;D

Magic Kingdom ....Can't get enough!!!

 Hello again!! we are still on our journey through Disney World's Magic Kingdom!! Did some digging and wanted to shae some facts about this wonderful place with all of you....It open on October 1, 1971..unfortunantly.. it's creator Walt Disney dies on December 15, 1966 before construction was even begun..I am super sure he would be oh so proud though! Disney World employees over 62,000 people..making it the largest single site employeer in the entire USA!! Upon entering the park you are deposited right onto Main Street USA..which was inspired by Walt Disney's hometown  Marcelin, Missouri..fabulous!! What a childhood he must have had!!

Cinderella's Castle is constructed from fiberglass designed to look like stone!! The Magic Kingdom alone welcomes more than 17.2 million people a year..47,000 a day!! Both Mickey and Minnie had large wardrobes..with Mickey having almost 300 and Minnie more than 200 outfits..Minnie..you need to go shopping!! And just for fun..since opening in 1971 more than 1.5 million pairs of sunglasses have checked into the lost and found..about 100 pair a day!! The park has only closed it's doors 3 times over the years..all for storms..on 9.11 the entire park was evacuated in 30 minutes..impressive. Here's to hoping and praying we never see a repeat of that day....Tomorrw will take us to Universal..join us for yet more fun!!

Disney World..Magic Kingdom!!

Hi there..Welcome to Disney World..

 Magic Kingdom..the place where dreams come true and you are never too old to be a kid at heart!! I will continue this post again tomorrow as I took way way too many pictures just for 1 post. :D As in the previous posts I have raved about October being an optimal time to hit Orlando up for all that it has to offer as far as it's theme parks go..for the water parks maybe summer is better but for all of the energy, sun shine..but not the heat involved in deep summer,,and enough vistors to keep the people watching interesting but the lines not so long..I personally loved the Halloween and Fall themed decorations that we found all over the park. I was lucky enough to spend some time growing up in Southern California and have been to Disneyland several times and to DisneyWorld 1 time before this visit but I cannot help but get that giddy little girl feeling every single time I see "The Castle"..of course the irony of the fact that I now live in the country where the inspiration was taken from does not escape me..for those of you that are not aware..Walt Disney took his inspiration from Schloss Neuschwanstein in Southern Germany..still need to make that trip!!

 Of course following the kid at heart theme I drug my poor husband through shops, the various candy stores, on my of my favorite childhood rides such as "It's a Small World"..he was however spared from the Teacups..sadly;D But I am am proud to say that he has now experienced an American must do!! And I dare say he enjoyed the heck out of it!! Okay..so tomorrow..more Magic Kingdom pictures and some DisneyWorld facts!! Enjoy!!
